Raspberry Pi #

The Actcast application runs on software called actcast-agent installed on the device. Currently, it is guaranteed actcast-agent runs on the following types of Raspberry Pi:

• Raspberry Pi Zero 2W
• Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
• Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+
• Raspberry Pi 4 Model B

The following types of Raspberry Pi are not officially supported, but it is reported by users that actcast-agent runs on these devices:

• Raspberry Pi 2 Model B
• Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+
• Compute Module 3
• Compute Module 3+
• Compute Module 4

actcast-agent does not run on the following types of Raspberry Pi:

• Raspberry Pi Pico
• Raspberry Pi 1 Model B
• Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+
• Raspberry Pi 1 Model A
• Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+
• Raspberry Pi Zero
• Raspberry Pi Zero W
• Raspberry Pi Zero WH
• Compute Module 1

We have confirmed that some of Raspberry Pi Zero W(H) does not work properly with Actcast. The defective devices have repeated to restart, output kernel logs and abort an Act.

The following are required to use actcast-agent:

• Power Supply
  • Power must be supplied by Micro USB (For models older than Raspberry Pi 4) or USB Type-C (For Raspberry Pi 4)
• micro SD card (from 8GB to 32GB)
• Display with HDMI input (optional)
• Network interface (ethernet or Wi-Fi)

Depending on the type of application to be used, an additional camera module etc. may be required. For details, see Manifesto of each application.

Available Wi-Fi #

The available Wi-Fi bandwidth varies from device to device. Check the table below and enter the SSID in Actcast Writer.

Remarks:

• CM is an abbreviation for Compute Module
• With Compute Module 4, the presence of the built-in Wi-Fi module is selectable.
