If wireless LAN connection is not available #

If devices cannot connect to a wireless LAN, it is necessary to isolate the cause.

  • Is the Wi-Fi information correct?
    • Check if you can connect to the Wi-Fi at the installation site with a smartphone or PC
      • If you can’t, it’s likely that your Wi-Fi information is incorrect.
  • Can the device have a wireless LAN connection?
    • Check if the device can connect to the Wi-Fi at the installation site
      • The presence of a wireless module depends on the device model
      • The wireless LAN band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) that can be connected differs depending on the device.
  • Is the SSID / Password setting correct?
    • Connect your device to the internet using a wired LAN cable if you have one in the field or emergency Wi-Fi if you don’t.
  • Whether it is a problem of signal strength
    • Change the position of the device, such as near a Wi-Fi router
  • Whether the device is out of order
    • Connect the display and see if anything appears on the screen
    • Replace Raspberry Pi and check if it becomes Found from Actcast Web

If you replace the micro SD card, you need to rewrite the Tag and Device Name from the Actcast web screen. Find the device you are replacing with the micro SD card and the corresponding device from the Actcast web screen and copy the same.
